Your Prime Time
This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
All of us are guilty of daydreaming about a different time in our lives. If you are forty or older, you may be thinking about a time when you were twenty years younger. And if you are in your teens, you are more than likely thinking about what it would be like to be fifteen years older. Thinking about a different time in our lives just seems to be human nature. We tend to always think that some other time is better than the present. However, we should be careful when we find ourselves daydreaming too much. It is not good to allow ourselves to spend too much time thinking about the past or the future. It is ok to reflect from time to time. Reflection helps us to learn, grow, and plan. But we should always rejoice in the present day and receive it with a grateful heart.
You may be thinking right now “How can I find anything to be glad about today?” Most people would agree that the hate and violence in our society is higher than we have ever seen. Life is so far from what so many of us imagined it would be. The daily reports of gun violence and shootings in our neighborhoods, parks, schools, and places of employment have given so many of us a reason to be sad. But today is not the day to give up! Today is the “prime time” in your life!
Regardless of your age and your current circumstances, there is no need to lose hope. God still cares! The key is to shift your focus to Him. There is an old saying, “Change your focus and your life will change.” It is vital that each of us has a personal relationship with God. I encourage you to stop now, take a deep breath and thank God that you are alive. Let the simple fact that you are still here and reading this blog, give you confidence that God still cares about you. You are not here by mistake or accident but by “His divine design.”
God has strategically placed you here on earth to live during this time for a specific purpose. And God is never wrong! Today is the prime time for you to do what God created you to do. His plan for your life is perfect. You are a significant part of His plan to make the world a better place for all humankind. God designed you to thrive and excel during this time. Don’t miss it!
Let today be the day that you SURRENDER TOTALLY TO GOD. He is watching over you today. His love never fails. Only God can give you the peace and joy that you seek. Ask God to give you His wisdom and instruction. Then, trust and believe that He hears you (because He does). Embrace today with a grateful heart and let God fill you with joy. This is the day that the Lord has made…Today is your Prime Time.
